East Rosebud Creek descends from the spectacular Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness near the glacially carved East Rosebud Lake. The creek holds rainbow, brook, and brown trout in its lower reaches, with cutthroat and brook trout higher up. The East Rosebud trailhead provides access to one of Montana's most dramatic alpine landscapes. The creek offers quality small-stream fishing in a stunning setting, though access can be challenging in the steep canyon. Summer provides the best conditions.
